Been diagnosed with MS, Now waiting for Lyme test results. Lyme Literate doctor put me on Imoxicillin 500 mg which I take 2 pills twice a day for 30 days due to a bad sinus infection. I will get the results of my Lyme test Sept 10.

Should I see inmprovements of my symptoms during this period on Imoxicillin if I have Lyme disease
and or MS?

Thanks,

Rob

You might ... you also might herx from it and feel worse.

I am taking 5 of those pills three times daily along with Probenecid (keeps it at high levels in the blood) for treating Lyme (and a bunch of other stuff) ... so, you might just see improvement in your sinus infection.

You might keep a symptoms diary ... if your Lyme test is ambiguous, then your response to the meds may help with a diagnosis.

I am on 2000mg/day of amoxicillin for my lyme. I feel ok some days and worse others. I dont know if I herx somewhat, or I am just going thru the cycle of the bacteria again, because it is exactly 4 weeks since my last bout of fevers and worse pain, and now its happening again. I am very fearful that when my 60 days of abx is done, I will be just as sick, or worse.

Kath, are you seeing an LLMD? If not, I would get to one before your meds run out in 60 days. Treatment generally takes a lot longer than that unless you just picked the tick off yourself.
