in Bryan Rosners new book, http://www.defeatlyme.com , he talks about using milk thistle. Has anyone done this? What results?

Thanks,

Portland

Lots of us use milk thistle. I've never heard of it being used to treat Lyme, but to protect the liver from the effects of treatment.

Milk thistle can be used to help/protect the liver throughout treatment. We're pumping a lot of antibiotics and/or herbs through our bodies to get rid of the lyme. The liver is working hard to detoxify us from these medications, as well as the toxins produced in killing the lyme.

It's important to monitor the liver throughout treatment. There are times when milk thistle may not be enough, or when it may not work for some people. For example, my husband's liver enzymes have been elevated using certain meds, even though he used milk thistle.

LIV52 by Himalaya has been a good product for him. I'm sure there are other products that could help, as well.

Keep on flushing out those toxins!

I use Milk THistle every day even though it is not in BUhner's book Healing Lyme.

I ALSO take Red Root tincture as it not only supports the liver but also the rest of the Lymph system. I have taken both for well over a year and a half.

Sarsaparilla is also good for cleansing the blood. I wouldn't want to be without any of them.
