A friend I know from PA dad had very bad scoliosis--since he was a kid and he was telling me how he got off all his meds with something he learned from an alternative med RN he sees. Gin soaked raisins--anyhow when I was researching it ---I saw several postings of people with Lyme that this got rid of their residual pain. I thought I'd pass it on.----if anything it cant hurt!
here is the info: if you google arthritis and gin $ raisins and lyme you'll get a ton of postings:
my parents arthritis regimine consists of Bombay Saphire Gin (must be this brand - has the most botanicals according to the alternative medicine nurse) and golden raisins. Put the raisins in a small tupperware (pack down) and cover 1/2 way with the gin, leave uncovered for 2 days to let the raisins absorb the gin -- occasionally stirring. Cover after the second day. Take 9 raisins a day -- should feel arthritis relief after 4-6 weeks. My parents swear by it and my dad is now off all perscriptive medicine (vioxx, etc) and is feeling great. "

I had heard of this also. Don't know of anyone who's doing it but will keep the "recipe" just in case.

Just don't try it while taking Flagyl!
I personally think I'd rather be in pain then have gin soaked raisins. Ick.
