HI John! WElcome to Lymenet!!

Mino is really rough in the beginning and it penetrates the brain more than some of the other abx. That means, your herxing can be pretty bad.

Do you have an LLMD?? A Lyme Literate MD?? IF so, ask him/her if you can back off the meds when the herxing becomes too tough to handle.

Some drs will "ramp up" the dosage... beginning on lower dosages and working your way up.

I could never tolerate more than 200 mg of mino per day.

It's normal for the misery to come in waves. Even having one day feeling fine, the next day in the bottom of a pit.

Welcome wyo,
Sorry you aren't feeling well. The neck pain has been a constant herx symptom of mine. The nausea and dizzyness can be a side effect of mino. You might want to contact your doctor and let them know that you are having those symptoms if they don't go away soon.

If you are having stomach problems, taking your mino with food can help. Also drink plenty of water. Are you taking probiotics? Very important. Ginger capsules with meals or OTC zantac can help with nausea. The dizzyness and nausea may go away after your body gets used to the medication. Standing up slowly may help a little with the dizzyness.

You may want to consider some supplements to help with detox if herxing gets too severe. There are lots of discussions about that here.

I'm not a doctor. These are suggestions based on my own experience and knowledge. Hope you feel better quickly.

Terry
