What is the highest dose of zithromax others have been on and what combinations of antibiotics have you been using with it?

I'm currently taking 250mg of Zithromax twice a day and 100mg of Doxycycline twice a day.

500mg zith daily along with
2 tsp. Mepron
500mg Flagyl
400mg artemisinin

was my highest dosage and most meds taken at one time so far in my 1 year of treatment

I'm taking 250mg zith a day. I couldn't tolerate 500mg. I've not been prescribed any combo's. Liz

When I had Zithromax IV it was 500 mg to start per day then 1,000 mg. Orally it was 600 mg to start then 1,200 mg/day for a year plus.

Along with it I took Flagyl 500 mg 4x/day (pulsed 4 days on 3 days off) also Bicillin La shots 4x per week and then Zithormax 1,200 mg along with Mepron 3-4 teaspoons per day, plus artemesia for babesia.

Thanks for the replies.

I started out at 250 mg Zithro with 500 Levaquin and 1000 mg. flagyl daily (but pulsed the Flagyl 15 days on then 15 days off)

After a month, the Zithro was doubled to 500 mg. for a 2 month period and I've been having a really good die off.

My liver seems fine but I've been taking Milk Thistle. My doctor was talking about switching to Minocycline in place of the Zithro as I've got a lot of MS symptoms. (I didn't do well on Tetra though - lots of stomach problems.)

Just wondering if I could go higher still on the Zithro since I'm making progress or switch to something I've never tried before (Mino).

Any thoughts anyone?
