I'm off antibotics and just using herbal tinctures and artemisinin for treatment. Has anyone else tried strictly non pharmacueticals and had good results? I'm taking PC Noni and babesia tincture and pulsing Art 400 mg 3x a day for 3 days off 3 weeks. I'm having what seems like a herx but not totally sure it it is a herx or Lyme. We are suppose to be treating the Babesia right now.
With Babesia do your legs burn and feel week with muscle fatigue?
I hope it is not the Lyme showing up!!!!

HI wine,
Using artemisinin alone is not effective, according to dr B.
The symptom you describe is not listed for babs. So you should probably suspect Lyme(Bb) or Bartonella, or possibly some other co-infection.
Herxs should only occur when killing off spirochetes. Since you are not using any abx I doubt if what you're experiencing is a herx.
It's more likely a symptom of lyme. I have had that cement legged feeling myself many times in the past.

I know a couple of people who got rid of Babs just with Artemisia but that is different from Artemisinin- one was a child and one a local woman. Usually works betetr with other anti-Babs agents though-
Just be careful- your name makes me worry a little for you because alcohol is contraindicated in Lyme tx!!! My sister-in-law and brother are wine people though and I know for some people it is not a drink so much as a hobby- in a cultivated way not an inibriated way- hope it's like that for you-
Take care-
