Date Set for Jones Decision
Business New Haven 10/01/2007 by BNH
HARTFORD - The state Medical Examining Board will decide the fate of controversial Lyme disease specialist Charles Ray Jones on October 16, according state Department of Health spokesman Bill Gerrish.
Jones is accused of improperly prescribing antibiotics to two children and the board may revoke his license. The case has also drawn the attention of Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, who has taken the part of those who advocate for long-term treatment of symptoms attributed to Lyme.
Mainstream medical opinion prescribes a short course of antibiotics to treat the tick-borne illness. Jones, whose practice is based in New Haven, is nationally recognized for his frequent diagnoses of Lyme and long-term treatments.
In nine hearings spread out over more than a year, both sides debated Jones' competency and the treatment and diagnosis of Lyme.

We are also "hoping and praying" that Doctor J. (God bless him) will be vindicated and be able to continue healing the sick. Our appointment is October 17th (!)- may it be a joyful visit.

as of early september, anyway, dr j did not think the board would take his license.
even if they don't this time, the board is not going to stop going after him. his persecution is far from over.
he needs all the financial support we can provide.

It would be great if people there could have a rally that day, for whichever way the verdict goes. A victory rally or a protest rally. Hopefully, the former!

UPDATED message from LymeInfo:
I have been informed that the story I relayed to you from The Connecticut Business News Journal of October 1, 2007, seen here on LymeInfo as Message #3924 which originated from this website
A decision in Dr. Jones' case before the CT Medical Examining Board will _NOT_ be taking place on Oct 16th, 2007 as reported in the article.
The Board expects to release the proposed decision in the next couple of weeks, and the earliest expected time for a scheduled CMEB determination would be the November 20, 2007 meeting.
I repeat, Connecticut's Medical Examining Board will not be deciding Dr. Jones' case Oct 16th, 2007.

It would be very nice if that happened! I am sure it couldn't hurt.
Just reminding you that Dr. Fallon did present his pre-published findings at Dr. J in NC's trail...and you know how that turned out.
