In my 3rd week of zithromax and mepron for lyme and babesia, and about to ad plaquinil...

I had a couple portions of relatively 'nice' days recently but now I'm back to mental stuff, some fog....

The shooting pain and numbness, mainly under my fingernails, in toes, around eye/lips/ears...but the more painful part has become my T8 disc, which MRI shows as moderately herniated, and bad neck pain, maybe the t6 mild (Mri again)herniated,

but my rotator cuff possible impingement (MRI inconclusive) is just going nuts again, gets worse at night, hard to lift in morning or after running...tried some light bench press this morn and seemed to really set it off again.

Taking tons of IBU and Vicoprfen, as well as Ambien for sleep, and of course neurontin for nerve stuff.

My same old question becomes....have many of you had similar combinations of symptoms, how long did they last, how did you treat them, how long were you infected before treatment, etc...?

With all the !@#$ I'm taking it's been hard to work the supplements in...I tried magnesium maleate for a while but it really ripped on my gut, maybe now that I'm taking theralac maybe that should help? I don't know if I'm wasting time on my bevous system by not taking some soe of the stuff,,,theres just so damn much of it I can't keep track!

I found I couldn't do Cybex equipment anymore -- this before I found out I had Lyme. So I'm wondering whether it might not be a good idea to do any benchpressing, since our soft tissue is not in good enough health to handle a physical workout without flareups.

Now I do light swimming once a week, with snorkel and goggles. I can get decent exercise without hurting body parts. You might want to experiment with gentle water movement, to see if you can get some gentle movement going in the shoulder area, the disc areas. VERY gentle movement. I greatly decreased spasming muscle pain by stretching in the water.

hi local man,

My left arm is a big problem for me. Doctors operated on it for a spur, but that didn't help. Had MRI"S on it and xrays... nothing.

Anyway, I find when my LD is acting up my left arm up to my rotatar cuff is the worse pain. I do get twitching and pain in it. I can hardly use it.

I prop it up on a pillow at night, which seems to help some. I take 800mg of ibu and it dont help much either, the more I move my arm the more pain I get too.

I try to do light exerises on it, to keep it from freezing up.

Best wishes and good luck,
blazinglyme

Thanks....

I am taking big time ibuprofen and vicoprofen as needed (more lately), plus of course neurontin for nerve stuff (which is also worse lately)...

rotator cuff pain sucks, disc pain sucks, achilles sucks but I can deal with that, nerve stuff is totally unnerving (scuse the pun)...cognitive problems = holy !@#$

anyone with disc issues out there too?
