Why not bring the entire kit? I'm not sure how fast Igenex can get it to you, but you can order a kit from them and have your blood drawn when you get to the dr.
I do have the kit, got it in late July. I showed it to my doctor and he said the "Basic Western Blot" to start with, the cost is $245.00. I would pay a million to find out. I've had 5 lyme tests here and all negative. Which does not suprise me whatsoever....
Here is what is says. Basic Lyme Panel #4090 IgG, Western Blot IgM, Lyme IFA is this the correct one??
Thank you Julie

I only did Igenex tests 188 and 189 respectively for my husband and children.
That is for IgM and IgG.
I googled and found that in Sept 2006, Igenex now offers the IgM, IgG, and IFA for bb.
That is what your doctor is referring to. Has a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of greater than 80%.
The test kit price is $245.00.
I suppose it would be a personal choice.
My monies were/are limited as I had four family members tested in a month.
I just had the basic Lyme panel run. Not the IFA.

i started with #6050. a month later i did #200, 203, 206 & 285. a month after that i did #875 & 640. i ended up with positive IFA's for Borrelia & Babesia.
i also ran Lyme tests and Immunology tests with MDLabs.com. their Lyme test are not as sensitive as IgeneX's.. my results were negative. i did test positive for several viruses.
i have insur and they reimburse 70% out of network. i hit my deducts in Jan so i'm getting as much lab work and studies as possible BEFORE 12/31.
i suggest you get a CD-57 done through Labcorp too.. they're the only lab that does that particular test correctly.
test as many time as you can afford and see fit. if one Dr won't draw, find another who will.
i hope you find what you're looking, good luck!
