I have been generally doing better and better over the past 6 months but recently I have been having lung problems.
I have never had these symptoms in the 8 years with lyme so I don't neccesarilly think they are related.
But having lyme I also don't ever put it past the insidious disease.
I called my doc last week after about 4 days of continuos discomfort (pain and discomfort on deep breaths and odd positions in both lungs, no real consistency to it). He said it is not normal and to come in. Appt is on tuesday.
Usually when i have wierd symptoms i just wait them out and they go away buit it has been over a week now and no improvment, no worsening either though.
Any thoughts?

Have you been treated for Bart?
Also, unfortunately, I think if one is not careful, the use of certain antibiotics can lead to an overgrowth of infection in other areas.
Glad you have an appointment Tuesday.
I am in somewhat the same situation of having to wait until Tuesday-darn holiday. Lyme has seriously effected my bladder, and there has been worsening symptoms of problems previously treated.
Tuesday I am going to urogynecologist. I really hope my bladder hasn't fallen out again. ACK

Actually, I've SEVERE lung problems throughout this and ended up in the ER numerous times with low O2 levels. I found a number of factors were involved:
1) Food allergies or intolerances. I found when I ate certain foods, I had trouble breathing.
Though I only tested positive for an egg allergy, I found that eliminating all sugar, grains, milk, eggs, and root vegetables helped lessen them to some degree. I'm not sure if I actually have an allergy to all these foods or if they cause one of these bugs to grow - maybe even something fungal.
2) Multiple chemical sensitivities. I have had to stop using many chemical products, replacing them with something non-chemical. No more perfume, hair sprays, harsh detergents, etc...
Be careful though - some natural products can also trigger a reaction. If you have MCS though, you are probably toxic. Baking soda baths until you sweat might help. When I'm desperate, this is the only thing that seems to help.
3) I've noticed any exposure to pollution is even worse when I am exposed to unnatural electromagnetic fields. I even got a Trimeter to prove this to myself and others. I actually think this last one should be first - EMFs shut off key enzymes involved in digesting certain foods (thus, food allergies) and in removing toxins (thus, MCS), but until they turn off these fields, there's really nothing you can do.
Go to www.antennasearch.com to see how many cell phone towers and antennas are in your area. If you have a cell phone, I would get rid of it. I would get rid of your cordless phone, too.

My husband has lung problems and has since the start. What meds are you on? I know some people at www.roadback.org who had die off go into their lungs. They developed pneumonia, had to be treated for that and then get back on their regular meds.
Another thing, sometimes when the spleen or liver are enlarged they hurt when you take a deep breath because you are putting pressure on them. (I had that when I had mono and my spleen and liver were affected)
Hopefully it's something that can be resolved soon but you definitely do need to have it checked out.
