I would say the longer you have had it, the longer it will take to cure it. And people who cure long term Lyme are very rare. Some do not believe it is possible, but I do not often agree with the concept of impossibility.
If it is caught early and you get the appropriate treatment with the appropriate anti biotics you can be cured quite often.
The later does not happen often enough. There in lies the problem.

I have not cured my illness yet, but I do believe it is cureable, regardless of the stage. Progress is good so far.

I believe it is "curable" just like herpes is curable. It can stop creating symptoms, but it is always there and can return when the body is weak. Cure in terms of total erradication I believe is an unrealistic goal. That said, so many bugs live within us but we have to create an environment where we can healthily live with them.

2) treated appropriately with antibiotics of sufficient duration at sufficient dosage
3) Not associated with co-infection; or co-infections are diagnosed early and treated promptly.
4)Your have a doctor who cares

Yes, and too bad so often you can't find a doctor who cares or who knows what to do when you are first infected and know nothing about what you're in for.

Symptoms came back for me about 4 years ago after I returned from India with pneumonia. I was very sick for about 6 weeks. I wonder if that's what triggered it.
At that point my symptoms had been very mild, almost nonexistent, for 15 years.
So is it curable? From my perspective, no. I think one can be asymptomatic, but not cured.

If you've ever had chickenpox-the virus is still in your body. Many diseases and virus that we are exposed to are in our body. A strong immune system keeps them suppressed.

Is it possible to cure lyme with early treatment while leaving
present a co-infection that you got concurrently?

Lyme Disease would be 100% curable. This is why it isn't. You can even scroll and pick a reason with your eyes closed:
