I have a stiff neck, which moved to back muscles, and now my ribs hurt like hell. And it hurts to take a deep breath.
Can this be lyme manifestation, or a herx?
Is this a lyme or babs or bart (muscle/ribs pain)?
I am on levaquin for bart, and bicillin for lyme right now.

I don't think this is a lev side effect.
I have been on lev for almost 8 weeks, and so far so good. I have had this rib/neck/muscle pain before treatment, just not sure if I am herxing now.
I hope so,I want those critters eradicated!

This is not unusual as a lyme symptom. I had the same reaction when I started treatment.

Take some liquid advil and I found wearing a cervical collar helped the neck pain.

The lyme spirochete likes to live in the nerves surrounding the chest. I had more of what could be described as a tenderness in my chest wall..especially on the right side.

With continued treatment these pesky symptoms gradually faded.
