I would like to know if there is any reason I should not get my annual flu shot this year....and also I would like to know if I can donate blood or not. My local red cross itself does not have an answer!! Thanx! -------------------- LITTLE LYMIE

My LLMD says NO flu shot for me. My immune system is so shot from the Lyme that he is afraid the vaccine will do me more harm than good. -------------------- Corinne

No blood donation, don't make someone else go through what you are

Definitely no blood donation; the 'chetes survive all of the treatments the blood receives at the bank.

The Red Cross website is supposed to show that Lyme patients cannot donate blood. I've seen it posted there before. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

My LLMD encourages flu shots. I'm getting one, because I have a history of the flu turning into more serious bronchial infections. Definitely no on blood. -------------------- "When there is pain, there are no words." - Toni Morrison
