Someone just sent this to me. Be sure to read the small print on the bottom! (I hope this has not been posted already. I looked and did not see it.)
are you able to copy and paste the small print here which will ENLARGE it for neuro lymiees like me? hope so! or someone else do it pretty please? big thanks!

Realize these numbers are the cases reported from 1990-2006. We all know they are MUCH higher.
The small print at the bottom says:
"Note CDC says Lyme disease is under reported and that only about 10% of cases that meet CDC surveillance criteria are actually reported to CDC. (For example, Oklahoma 362 reported cases = 3,620 probable cases meeting CDC criteria.)"
They are saying the number of cases that meet THIER criteria is ten times greater than reported. As we all know, many people who have Lyme are not CDC positive (with good reason). So imagine what the real number of cases are.

Whoa, reality check here: I spent one summer month in North Dakota in 1970. Every day I picked 40-60 ticks off the dog. Yes, every day! That's farm country, a lot of people are out in the countryside rather than in towns.

You also have to remember that there are so many people that have this that don't know that they have it. They think that they are just getting old with arthritis (like me) and don't think to get tested.
And all of the misdiagnosed ones. Of course, that number is going to be higher.
And if the ducks we continue to see are not open minded, well, it will just continue to be under-reported.
