I don't know if it's the best, but I use Nordic Naturals fish oil. My LLMD recommended Carlson Laboratories brand fish oils.
I haven't heard of Pharmanex. There are a lot of options out there!

Just my two cents....
I agree that Carlson's makes the best fish oil, BUT Neptune Krill Oil is much better than any fish oil. It is far more bio-absorbable, works much better on fixing abnormal lipid ratios, and does not cause reflux belching, even at high doses.
I read the ingredients on some Pharmanex products and was not impressed with what you get for that price.

OK, here's my two cents,
Fish oil: I use Spectrum Fish Oil. The ingredients were scary for mercury (anchovies, mackerel and sardines plus natural Vit-E.) However, on the front it says "NO MERCURY, PCB's, LEAD." Also, "Third Party Purity Tested." Also, "Wild Caught Small Fish." I chose to trust them. I've used it for about 2 1/2 years, first at 4 or 5 gelcaps for awhile, then I cut to two. It's a lot cheaper in the 250 quantity size.
It's comes from Norway or Iceland waters.
I use their flax oil gelcaps, too.
I used Country Life for awhile, but it wasn't as good as Spectrum, which lowered my triglycerides a lot! Spectrum costs are lower than the refrigerated brands, here where I live. (But it says on the bottle to refrigerate after opening.)
Caprylic acid: I used Wild Oats Caprylicare and diluted the "other" ingredients with another caprylic product. I got more reasonable dosages of ingredients. As I recall I believe I took them a couple weeks. Worked well: got nice, red tongue. I used (just over) 3,000 caprylic acid--a high dosage of that--in a day.
My LLMD objects, so now I use Nystatin, for prevention.
