I have a simple question for you and I think I know the answer myself. I have been on 875 mg of Amox twice a day for strep throat and I have been feeling better throat wise since then, but have been having feverish feelings and some twitching and heart stuff here and there. I had been doing pretty good lately before this. Could this be that the high dose of Amoxy has stirred up some dormant lyme a bit and will it pass hopefully once I am done taking it? Thanks for any comments.

I do still my lyme doctor on a somewhat regular basis... I am on maintenance medications also.. I think its just that they threw something different into the picture with the amoxy and it threw things off.... thanks though for the thought!

So does that mean you should have more aggressive treatment to try and kill it off, or is it good to leave it dormant?
I ask because this happened to me in Jan, but my Lyme doc WANTED to stir it up and try and kill it off. I've been miserable since.

I know, its hard to say what is the best thing to do at times in that case.. I think my doctor sometimes thinks if I am feeling good to leave well enough alone and not stir anything up. Lyme is such a messed up disease! I hope you feel better soon... hang in there something will work for you and you will start to see the light at the end of the tunnel of misery! In the midst of it, I think it will never end, but it does..
