Had a bad case of lyme prostaitits. been using the levaquin for 9 weeks now and not much until I mixed it with Cefdinir. Even then it wasn't great but I was functioning.Dr. took me off the cefidinir and still with levaquin plus alinia now. Within a day the prostaitits severness is back. Low grade fever felling with tremendous pain in the rectal region, even in my bladder now.
What else can I take that would benefit the levaquin for this (what I know is)lyme prostatitis.

Man, I feel for you!!!! Did you ever try supplementing with Saw Palmetto and Pygeum?? My hubby uses the Solaray brand.

Nary a problem since adding that to his regimen 2-3 yrs ago.

Sorry I can't help more. Levaquin has always worked for me.

I don't know. I would think it was whatever is "usually" prescribed. That was several years ago and I KNOW he wouldn't remember either!! Sorry!
