due to my level of frustration and obviously the level of frustration of other people on this site, i have purchased and will be hosting my own web site, similar to lyme net.
note, it will NOT be including bickering.
i have not even gotten a host for it yet, but just keep it in your back burner. check it from time to time. in a few weeks, it will be up and running, and should provide some very useful, reliable info to those who want to get well, and not argue.
humbly,
derek
ps- betchat i get BANNED for posting this

The problem is now everyone is creating their own forum. There are at least half a dozen others that have popped up recently. None of them will likely get enough traffic to make it really a good debate.
Lymenet has been a great place for the past couple of years and I hope they can get it together and make it what it once was. I agree that at present, it seems to be falling apart.
I just don't want to see more fracturing of the Lyme community because several people decide to create new boards all over the place. That is one reason I personally have avoided trying to create a forum as part of my site.

scott-
thanks for sharing this information with me.
i do agree lymenet is the most widely known site, but its recent lack of reliable knowledge and insistent bickering is rendering it near useless.
my site is not going to have blogs either, just pm capability.

I also understand Scotts' point of view, but old members are leaving and the new ones are getting sooo discouraged that this soon may not be the website anyone remembers!!
Thanks Djf!! I'll be watching!
