Hi everyone !!

It's been awhile since I've been on this site. I finished a combination of oral and IV antibiotics

3 months ago after being on them for one year. I haven't had any symptoms since completing

treatment up until now. I initially had all the neuro symptoms along with severe joint pain. The

past 2-3 weeks, I've been having intermittent joint pain, shoulder blade pain and severe

depression. Depression was a huge part of my illness during the initial diagnosis, it wasn't a

result of my illness, it was one of the first symptoms I had. I also have had a nasty upper

respiratory infection for several weeks as well but its slowly subsiding. I see my LLMD in 2 weeks. I'm scared to death that the symptoms are

telling me the Lyme is brewing once again. I've been crying a lot just thinking about the

possibility that I will have to endure all of that again !!! I just needed to vent tonight and this is the place to do just that.

I'm sorry it looks like it might be flaring up again. [Frown]

My LLMD has had good results using the Cowden protocol when it's time to get off the abx. Maybe that would be a help for you so you don't have to get back on the meds.

I'm glad your LLMD appt. is in a couple weeks.

Sorry for your let down and possible flare.

On the bright side...and I am trying to find one for you...you already have an LLMD and a past dx of Lyme. You won't have to do doctor searching and play the waiting game.

I hope you feel better soon and this is just the flu creeping in on you.

Good luck at your LLMD appt.

Hope it's not Lyme.

Just curious, though:

how long had you had Lyme before you started treating it? [group hug]

Adamm,

I got bit June of 2005 but wasn't diagnosed until Nov 2007 when I ended up in the hospital.

I started treatment right away and finished about 2 months ago. Do you think if it is the flu that its hanging around unusually long?
