I am seeing new things happen with my vision.
It started with floaters, before beginning treatment, levaquin and bicillin.
I am now on valtrex and bicillin.
anyways, recently, I see flashing glares of images, like the clock on the wall.
It is not really flashing lights, but flashing circle (shape of the clock on the wall).
I don't see double vision, thankfully, but I am not sure if the bugs are increasing, or is this a herx, or the med is not working?
I feel improvement in other areas of my body , but the vision, and also the ear ringing, is getting a little worse.
Can this be a herx, toxins dieing off maybe, making my sympoms worse?
what drugs/combo worked for vision? is that cns?
Jenin

jen, found this on 2nd page so uping it for ansers for you.

fyi, i was diagnosed with EARLY DIABETES RETINOPATHY 2 months ago; in other words, i'm in EARLY STAGES OF GOING BLIND!; my symptoms ... floaters and seeing lights!

do you have diabetes? what is your A1C? if not, please have a A1C done; NOT JUST BLOOD GLUCOSE FOR OVERNIGHT, but the 3 month check of your BS, blood sugar.

i was told this was lyme symptoms, but i have a different perspective now! good luck.

also, please double space your paragraphs; big thanks! easier reading for us with comprehension/reading neuro problems. [group hug] [kiss]

I don't have diabetics.

This is lyme, I got my optical nerve and retna checked, everything is good.

just wondering if die off, or bicillin doing this?

I know the bicillin is doing something good, cause I have improved in other area, but my vision is

wacky for the

Past 3 days.

Bilberry and devil's claw have helped my vision.

Stephania did also, but I herxed so bad I couldn't stand without losing balance. I will try again in smaller doses or use topical solution.

Buhner has good info on kind/how to do stephania in his book and among people in his chat room.

Meanwhile, the cause for me I believe is babesia, and I've used high dose artemesia for that. I need to do it longer or more consistently. It's hard on the stomach.

According to my LLMD, bartonella can cause a lot of various eye symptoms. I do feel that while I was on bart treatment, I would have those bouts where the vision was HORRID with all sorts of crazy stuff going on, but it would also get really good after a bad bout.

In my particular case though, it started going to total blindness and my doctor felt it could be a bad reaction to the cipro, but since being off it, I did have another bad spell with the eyes. I too have been to eye specialists as well as complete blood work ups with my PCP.

I need to believe that these meds can confuse our vision as you speak of but once you get past a spell of it, it does clear, which makes me think this symptom can get reversal with treatment.

But obviously I am NOT doctor, so perhaps it's also wishful thinking since I'm suffering from much of this type of stuff too.
