Been on Doxy 1 month. Almost 2 months of Ceftin, double dose(4x daily). Have intense back ,chest/ rib pain, headaches, sweats etc.

After taking Wellbutrin XL for 4 days,I have been having electrical shocks from my head to my arms to my hands with dizziness/nausea when I move, even if I just move my head. If I'm walking its alot worse. I stopped taking it 4 days ago and still have the symptoms. Wondering if its the Lymes and the Wellbutrin was just a coincidence thing. Going to a Neurologist Jan. 3rd.

Any Ideas??? My Lymes Doc is not sure since it happened at the same time as the Wellbutrin XL. I was and still have Flu - like symptoms. Also, I live in Connecticut and not sure if its just a virus. Had the Flu shot 4 weeks ago. I'm frustrated.

I have never taken Wellbutrin, so I wish I be of more help on that, but I don't know.

Maybe the flu shot triggered something?

I hope you find out what is going on and you feel better soon, keep us posted okay.

You might want to go to the ER, those are very close to heart attack symtpoms. I don't mean to scare you but that sounds serious

Do u have babs too or just Lyme?

Did you tell your dr about the symtpoms that started since starting wellbutrin xl? I would want to ask the dr is it was possibly a side effect.

Better safe than sorry and I would at least call the dr.

Hope you feel better soon [group hug]

Reminds me of the 'electric shocks' I got going off Paxil years ago. That shocky feeling is very common with anti-depressants, although usually on the withdrawl end. I had shocks 2 weeks after going off Paxil - it was practically intolerable. Had to mostly lay on the couch and not move.

Could be your body just couldn't tolerate Wellbutrin along with the other stuff you're taking.

Can take a while to get that out of your system.

I didn't get a flu shot this year due to my Lyme - I hear they don't mix so well...I don't know for sure. Hopefully I won't regret it! [Smile]

Hope you're starting to feel better.

The sweats sound like babs. Have you been tested for co-infections?

Wellbutrin screws with your sympathetic nervous systems.

Sweating and electrical shocks sounds like a very likelly side effect.

There no harm in going off the Wellbutrin to find out.

After all your not deficient in wellbutrin

I'm thinking it's the Wellbutrin. I'd taper off and see, but call your doctor.
