When I do BABS treatment- BART comes out- and now I switched to BART treatment and BABS comes out....
WHAT DID YOU DO?? HOW DID YOU ATTACK BOTH..??
HOW DID YOU SMACK THEM DOWN?? TOGETHER??
WHAT DID YOU EXPIERENCE?
My LLMD says they are riding on each others shoulders...and this is very common...
I'm staying on BART treatment but adding ALINIA in for the BABS...
My Dr. says it's a very high amount of meds and
will be surprised if my body can handle them
all...but wants to give it a try....
it's very aggressive but he feels that this is the best thing to do at this point....
I will be on Rifampin 600mg....900mg of Omnicef
and 750 of Zithromax (I'm doing this now-&
OK)...and adding in 2000mg of Alinia...
my BABS really responds to the Alinia....
In your non-medical, non-Doctor opinion , do you think it's a BAD idea for me to take ALL these meds...???
My Dr. said I can reduce the Omnicef first and then the Zith if my body can't handle ...but is it foolish to push it that hard? how hard is ENOUGH?!?! before or after you feeel toxic and loaded?
Do you all push yourself till you can't handle and then back off? do you have to be that aggressive? in one sense I think so , and in another I don't....
I was prior doing the Mepron 1 tea 2x
day /Omnicef 900mg /Zith 750 and pulsed the
2000mg of Alinia for a week during the Full Moon...
plus some of Bhuner's herbs....which I'll continue...
My Dr. also posed the possibilty of Levaquin- (which he'd rather )but I'm really skeptical of taking that drug...things I read shook me up(i know there are some MIRACLES TOO)....
But then...I also read horrible scary things about Rifampin- and I'm fine with it...besides anxiety...
I realize there are precautions and warnings and everyone reacts differently-
just a bit confused in trying to find that perfect combo for my body...
any support or thougths would be great....
peace and Love!

As long as you feel you can handle it, your LLMD says give it a try and you bloodwoork states everything is ok, then what's holding you back?
If you feel really bad after you do the tx then give the doc a call.
For myself, I have and am now treating babs, bart & lyme w/ 5 different meds. So far so good.
Good luck to you and come back and tells how you are doing,ok?

Treat both at same time.
-------------------- Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Remember Iam not a Doctor Just someone struggling like you with Tick Borne Diseases.
I have the exact same problem. Treat babesia and my babesia symptoms diminish and the test turns negative, but bart is back. Then treat the bart, and my babesia test goes from negative to highly positive and all my symptoms returns.
My doctor's solution was flagyl+ketek that worked on both the babesia and bart + Lyme for 5 1/2 months. The problem is that as soon as I stopped the flagyl+ketek combo, my babesia returned within weeks.

Yup, often happens that way, you treat one and the other emerges and surges-
Just keep on!!! Sounds like you have a good doc!

I've made a lot of progress when we started treating both at the same time. Just be sure to get your bloodwork done often enough to be sure you're handling it okay.
Also do anything you can do to help your body detox and continue to handle the meds.

The problem with treating both of them at the same time is that you end up compromising in order to do it. If you do it right, and go hard on only one thing at a time, you can get rid of that infection for good. That way it gets easier as you go, as each infection is eliminated.
Too bad that most Dr's don't know what it takes, so people just keep seesawing back and forth. If you do Babs treatment right, it will keep the Bart in check. Then when Babs is gone, Bart gets whacked for good too. Then it's Lyme time!

I find it a bit offensive that you accuse my doctor of being incompetent and don't know how to treat babs and bart. I am seeing one of the leading LLMDs in the country (well the whole world) who has many years of experience in treating tickborne infections. Some people just have very treatment resistant coinfections.
If you know of some miracle cure that the leading LLMDs are unaware of, please describe it here in detail for all of us to see.

I tend to agree with Micul. Get the babs completely, it WON'T come back.
Bartonella is smaller, and in dr. K's view, one of the last infections to go. It can come back here and then, for me it's a bit like borrelia.
I always (in my 2 babesial infections) had to get rid of babs first to attack bart. Bart was one of the last to go. The babs never returned in my case, except with REINFECTION!!
My babesia herbal protocol is here written in September 10. Quite complicated, but that's what I did. So far, it didn't return. In my view, there's a dormant phase of babs that's why it's difficult to get it.
