I just started treatment, due to getting back my "iffy" results. I want to make sure I deal with it, in case it is Lyme.

I have a question...The NP who prescribed the combo, prescribed me 1000 mg of Biaxin per day, but only 300 mg. of Doryx per day.

People have told me that it takes 400 mg. to kill the spirochetes. Is that always the case? I weigh 155 lbs, and I also was told it's 100 mg., per 50 lbs of weight. That would mean 300 mg.

Since you are taking doryx in combination with biaxin, standard dosage guidelines do not necessarily apply.

If your NP is Lyme literate, I think you can feel confident about the dosage.

I agree. I think you're covered.
