When we were trying to figure out what was wrong with my daughter (pre-Lyme diagnosis), the docs kept testing her ANA and since it was high, that made them think lupus. But nothing else fit with lupus. Much later, LLMD said Lyme folks often have an elevated ANA, and if often comes down with treatment.

My white counts have always been pretty low.

Low neutrophils (one of the 5 types of white blood cells) can cause neutropenia, which I was told can be common in Lyme, but don't know for sure.

You should be able to see the counts of each type of white blood cell right there on your lab report whenever you get a CBC done.

Which white cells are high for you?

Low counts can mean poor immunity or fighting a virus, high counts can mean fighting an infection. (usually)

Not a doc, so double check:)

Take care
Jackie

Low WBC is associated with EHRLICHIOSIS which is OFTEN blood NEGATIVE!

I just got a bloodtest done. Neutrophils are elevated. And my prolactin, which has been over 200 for 22 years, has dropped to 155. Go figure. Normal is 20.

Yes. Elevated Neutrophils and Granulocytes. Elevated WBC, LOW lymphocytes. Abnormal RBC morphology.

I am currently on Lyme treatment. I would be interested to know if this is associated with Lyme as well.
