Does anyone have High Blood pressure with Lyme Disease? My heart palpitates that I've developed Sinus Tachycardia. I know this is a symptom of Lyme.

Yes, I have had very high BP since Lyme- however, my paternal aunt, paternal uncle and brother also have high BP so it is simply familial although I believe triggered by the Lyme. I am on Toprol. But it began when I got sick, BOOM. Not a normal Lyme symptom- BUT for me, I had BP issues in pregnancy prior and also in PTSD after being held at gunpoint, so it seems to be somethign secondary in me to bodily stress of many kinds- I believe due to my family history I would have had this by this point anyway- it is clearly a trait in my paternal family!!! But I think it happened a little earlier due to the Lyme-

I'm the opposite. I have very, very low blood pressure. I've been told at points that it's dangerously low (the doctor didn't tell me this though, just a friend's mom). Sometimes it's 84/48 or something like that. Usually, though, it's around 95/59. But I did have palpitations as well. Those have gotten much better with treatment, though. I hope they stay away though (*knock on wood*) because they are scary.

I have an elevated heart rate ad elevated BP.
My doc startedelated to that me on Propanolol and it is much better. Something is wrong with my kidney too so the BP could be related.
I also know pain makes or ca make your BP and heart rate go up..

My husband got a very high blood pressure due to Lyme (or a coinfection - he has Yersinia enterocolitica - we don't know). It was up to around 230/117 and even with 3 different blood pressure pills it never went below around 170/95.
With long term abx it slowly got better. The abx that worked best for him are (in this order)
1. Avelox and 2. Levaquin
Since he was on these abx he could stop one of his blood pressure pills and his BP is around 130/80 most of the time. But it's not done yet because after some time the BP is getting slowly higher again. I think he will need some more courses of Avelox.

Exposure to electromagnetic and microwave fields can cause high blood pressure. You might want to get a gaussmeter. When I'm exposed to magnetic or microwave fields (cell phones, power lines, etc...), mine goes up. I don't blame this exclusively on Lyme - I think I have Lyme thanks to the wireless boom.
You'll never believe me though unless you measure it yourself. I live in a high magnetic field area.

Yes my blood pressure goes very high at times and all my doctor wanted to do was give me more and more medication. I was hospitalized in October with a freak virus that left my potassium levels low so they gave me potassium chloride intravenously in the hospital and my blood pressure went from 170/100 to 100/50.
When I got home my blood pressure started going up again so I asked my doctor for a potassium supplement which she was reluctant to give me but she did. It lowered my blood pressure the same amount as the medication I was on with a lot less side effects so I have stayed on it.
I periodically have to have blood work done to check potassium levels but I would rather do that than take more blood pressure medicine.
