This may sound CRAZY, but here it goes. Is it possible that these bumps or pimples on my son's face are the spirochetes trying to get out of his body? I mean, wouldn't that mean that his body is ridding itself of the disease? Perhaps wishful thinking on my part...

Could be an allergic reaction to meds if he's on something (I get blotchy rash on my stomach from some abx); also contact dermatitis (maybe you've changed detergents, soap, shampoo), food allergy...

I doubt it's the bacteria itself if that's what you're asking - we're talking really really tiny organisms! If they are in tick "spit" imagine how small we're talking!

When I first started abx's for lyme I continuly broke out I asked mt LLMD what the hecks up he said its the abx killing all bacteria even the ones in the skin the better the penitration of abx the the more pimples i had. I dont get many anymore since being treated since 2003.
