i never experienced any arthritis symptoms throughout my whole lyme struggle until now, 7 months into antibiotic treatment. does this make sense?

it frightens me because it may indicate that the abx are not having an effect and the ketes are just infecting deeper into all of my tissues.

or could it be that lyme was already in the those tissues but i did not experience symptoms until a die-off occurred?

very confusing. my fingers ar crooked like my late grandmother's. i'm 26.

i feel this achey stiffness in my fingers, feet, hips, shoulders, and neck.

any suggestions are much appreciated. i guess i;m just scared that i've been focusing too much on babs right now and allowed lyme to get out of control. (though i am on bicillin as well.)

Hi Ellie

Babs can cause Really painful joints -

In treatment New symptoms Can and Will
show up -- its normal

One thing that you can take that Rebuilds
your joints is Glucosamine Sulfate --(GS)

Make sure the GS lable dose Not say HCL
on the it--

HCL it is the Much less effective form
of GS --

I take about 2000mg aday --160 Lbs

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Two days ago I had extreme pain in my right elbow. Prior I might have some nagging pain in different joints, but two days ago it was pretty severe. The pain woke me up every hour or so when sleeping. I have never had that kind of arthritic pain from lyme or babs.

I have been on abx for about 10 months, but I feel better now than I did when I started treatment. I keep a log of my symptoms and my general well being. I have gone back and forth a few times, but overall my health is better today than it was last year.

I was wondering the exact same thing that you were, are the treatments not working? Is the lyme babs going deeper into my tissue? I don't know the answer, but for our sakes lets hope not. This is one scary disease, whenever you think you are getting better, something scary happens to put you back in your place.

Hoping we all get better soon.
