Why are my neuro symptoms worse when on this medicine. I know it crosses into the BBB but is it a good sign or a bad sign?

I've combined Tindamax - a second generation Flagyl - with Cefzil. Good results - I'm cured as far as we can tell. Took 8 months though...

I don't know which neuro symptoms are getting worse for you with Flagyl, but remember that Flagyl has a lot of side effects not related at all to herxing (I have a friend that took it for a urinary tract infection, and it was exremely harsh on her).

I had IV Flagyl at a very low dose of 125mg per day, and it took about a week, but I started to feel it's effects. I started to be even more weak, stomach pains, weak breathing, and very depressed. With Flagyl it maybe difficult to tell what is a herx and what is a side affect, but here are some of them that you have experienced that may not be a herx:

-dizziness, headache
-diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite
-seizures
-numbness/tingling in arms, legs, hands, feet
-weakness
-depression
