Topic: Proper dose for Alinia and can it be taken with Malarone and biaxin?

What has been your experience in taking Alinia? How long did you stay on the drug? Any parasite sightings?? Can it be taken along with babs treatment mentioned in title of this post?

The alinia alone should take care of the parasites,babs,spirochetes according to my doc and his researchers.
They're under the impression that it's "THE DRUG" and report some success with it alone!
However. I believe he's asking too much of one drug for several reasons, I won't go into right now.
I believe I took 100mgs twice a day. I did not take anything with Alinia....as it's supposed to be a cyst buster as well.
Let us know of your,hopeful, progress?
I'll reserve mine for when I feel just wonderful with just alinia.....
has'nt happened for me yet but then again, I'm probably a "special" case with extenuating
circumstances...
I don't believe it's recommended with malarone and biaxin....check with your own llmd....

I just started on Alinia this past Friday taking 500mg twice a day and will be on it for 2 to 4 weeks depending on how I respond. I will add in Rifampin and Doxy tomorrow. Obviuosly I haven't been on it long enough to give you much in the way of experiance with it but I will keep you posted and hope to hear what others experiance as well.

Call your Pharmacy and ask about the drug interactions. Ours is wonderful about things like that.

dont know---just wanted to say hi---never come to site anymore---but think of you often and wonder how you are??? write to me when you can, would love to catch up. sorry for the delay---things have been non-lyme related in my life but just as weird and hard hitting.

you can always ask your friendly pharmacist what will interact with
what, even IF the DUCKS or even the llmd's forget what you might be taking....I always
check whenever I get any new meds....so should everyone.!
BTW-I WAS taking 500mgs twice a day as well.
Did you look that up? the 1000 mgs twice a day and for how long?

The adult dose by some practitioners I have talked with is 1000mg twice per day for 21 days.

I took 1 tab 2 x aday for 4 days- It helped my stomic A huge amount-
Also made me herx Big Time for 2 days -Jay-

I have been on Alinia 500mgs 2 times a day. I have made great strides since starting Alinia. I hope it helps you as much!!!!
