Has anyone been to the above? It has been suggested that I see one for my terrible neck pain and lower back pain. Any feedback would be wonderful. Thank you and be well, Jan

I haven't talked to very many people who have tried this. I had to drive 200 miles to see a UCC. The few adjustments I had from the one I saw (before he moved) really seemed to be good for my neck, and it actually stayed in place. With regular chiropractic, my neck is out again within 24 hours.

I was really sorry to see him leave. It was a long way to go for treatment, though. The x-rays this UCC took were pretty amazing - he had some way of using the combined views to create almost a 3-D type image, and that's how he discovered that my neck was out in two different directions at once. So, he adjusted me completely differently than my regular chiro does, and it sure stayed in place better and seemed to ``free'' that area of my spine.

I met a couple of people over on some Fibro/ chronic pain boards who had terrific success with UCC practitioner. And of course, I've read a few amazing testimonials online and in videos from UCC patients who have had complete remission from their FM symptoms after being adjusted a few times. I prefer to hear ``first-hand'' accounts about any product or therapy, but that's not always possible.

**UCC stand for Upper Cervical Chiropractic, and NUCCA is the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association.

Bio Cranial doesn't involve "popping" your joints. Good stuff!

Thanks for the info, Tracy!

YES. WONDERFUL. Not the snap and crack stuff at all.

Very impressive. Helped my neck a lot.

Ultimately, the D.C. told me that until I was treated for lyme he didn't think he could help me further - but I went to him for neck relief in hope of stopping seizures. He helped the neck but realized the neck work would not solve the problem in my case. I had not expected him to treat lyme (as no one did/does in my state, anyway). Just wanted neck relief.

He did what he could, and was honest with me about what he could do.

He was the only doctor of many who had seen the kind of startle seizure that zapped me to correctly identify the type: myoclonic - after a couple neurologists said nothing was wrong. I went home and looked up what he had said and learned so much to help myself where no other doctor had at that point.

This D.C. also has another LD client and I hear good things from her, with him also not overstating and claims, but offering a process of relief in the neuro/neck stuff.

Keebler, which therapy are you talking about?

Frankly, the UCC adustment was somewhat different than the usual chiro manipulation....

This particular UUC chiro used a drop-table with the patient lying on their side, and then it felt more like he just gave a spot on my neck a strong 'push'. That was it!

Then he had me go lie down in a darkened room on my back with my neck supported for about 20-30 minutes.

The hardest part is that you're not suppsed to move your neck much for awhile after the treatment. Makes it kinda hard to drive in city traffic..... so it is best to take a 'designated driver' with you when you go. [Smile]

NUCCAs are the only type of chirpractor I will see. Much less "violent", and I think more effecive, than others. Just MHO.
