I have horrible ear ringing and pressure which each day causes a headache. I think this is from the Levaquin that I was on (went off three weeks ago). My ears have always been sensitive to antibiotics, for example on Zithro I had to go off because of ear ringing but it stopped when I went off. Now after the Levaquin I can't get it to stop and it's driving me crazy not to mention the headaches and pressure. Thoughts?

you might cross check everything you are taking.

Some over the counter (OTC) products can be ototoxic. Aspirin, especially. Some drugs, too, or in combination with others.

some research suggests Vitamin E (only in the natural form, not synthetic) and B6 may be oto-protective to some degree.

the american tinnitus association site may be of help.

Avoiding the use of headphones is good - and also protect your ears from any noises right now.

drink lots of good water. rest if you can. ears need rest, too.

postpone dental appts. if you can while tinnitus is flairing.

sorry, i am beyond the need for rest, but this caught my eye, as ears are a big research area for me.

i'll come back later and post some links for you.
you might also search on this site for "tinnitus" treads, or "ears" or "hearing"
