I really need some advice or opinions.

About 2 and half weeks ago i got sick with some sort of flu or cold. It lasted a week or so and got better.

A few days after getting better i came down with something else or maybe a reoccurance or what i ws having.

This time it started as a itchy throat and then turned into a week long sinus headache with feeling like i had the flu again.

A few days ago or so i had notcied feeling some dizzy and also my limbs felt heavy and achy.

Then last night i felt so off balance and dizzy.

Today it kept getting worse and the heavyness in my body started again and i felt short of breath.

I ended up haveing to go to the hospital.

Everybody there was very nice and understood chronic lyme but after running a bunch of tests including ct scan of my head and xrays of my longues everything ended up fine.

I was released but i am stilll really concerned.

I really have no clue what is going on.

Before i got sick with the flu i was doing better than i had in months.

Now i feel absolutely terrible and im terrified.

I feel similar to how i felt after getting a steroid shot over a yr ago.

I really need some advice/opinions.

Do you think after getting the flu it could have made my lyme flare up this bad? Do you think it could have also possibly flared up other viruses?

I have hhv6 and epstein barr. Do u think it could have flared these up?

Im really just looking for some help. Im worried that im going to keep getting worse and worse.

Thanks for any responses,
Joe

Try some Sambucol http://www.sambucolusa.com/ & whatever you can find to boost the immune system. Look into precursors of Glutathione. Eat very well - lots of fruit & veggies & pure water, liquids, broth, soups. I think olive leaf is anti viral, as well.

There are some medicinal mushrooms you can take... some of them are good to boost the immune system.

Medicinal Mushrooms:
Shiitake - Reishi - Cordyceps - Tremella - Poria - Ling Zhi - Lentinula - Ganoderma - Grifola - Coriolus - Maitake

Sometimes it takes time to kick a bad cold or flu. You just have to rest & take care of yourself. Lyme makes everything worse.

Thanks Sparkle,

I have been taking some things to help my immune system.

I dont take the sambucol but i do take elderberry in capsule form as well as some mangosteen.

Its weird that im feeling this bad even with all of the stuff i take and do.

Thats why im so frustrated and worried.

Hopefully this goes away soon.

Thanks again,
Joe

so go to DIRECTORY at top, and look at left side where you can type a name in, type TIMACA; hit enter.

it will bring up her profile, in right corner is PRIVATE MESSAGE, send her a COPY OF YOUR DETAILED LINK ABOVE. I know she will assist you in whatever she can. She really knows all about HHV6 !! good luck! [group hug] [kiss]

I have the same symptoms with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia (Pots).

Shortness of breath upon standing, heavy limbs, etc.

My pulse usually rises and my blood pressure drops.

I also have NMH.

When I lay prone, I feel alright.

As soon as I stand up though....Whoa! [Eek!]

Do a search on this and see if maybe this sounds familiar to you.

BTW, mine really became apparent after a bout with a severe stomach flu.

Hugs,

Geneal

This may be totally unrelated, but I thought I would share this information with you in case it helps.

My dad had something called "autonomic failure". He has severe orthstatic hypotension that was a result of his "brain failure". (To keep a sense of humor about it, we called it "brain failure".)

We noticed that any time he got a urinary tract infection or other infection, it made his orthostatic hypotension much, much worse.

He was often put on Levaquin, and did well on it. After a couple days he was perking much better. He usually took it for 10-15 days.

I don't have advice for you but can say that I had the same thing happen to me Jan 1. I got a cold which I was excited about 'cause I had not had one in 2 years. Then, all these additional symp. can on with the cold stuff. I went way down hill. The cold went away after 3 or 5 days, but then all my old Lyme/Flu stuff was really kicked up. I was so confused as to what was happening. Still am? But finally coming out of it all...Good luck and I know exactly how frustrated you are!

I just went through the same thing this week. My LLMD fixed me up by giving me IV fluids and IV Magnesium. My pulse and bp were just crazy. I was all red, hands and feet purple and cold.

My LLMD said I must be fighting a virus which caused a flare. Lots of bed rest and fluids for me for the next few days. I feel tremendously better today.

Thank you everybody for all the kind words and advice. I really appreciate it.

The only thing the ER dr could tell me was that people with HIV have symptoms flares and other viruses activated after they get the flu or colds.

He said that might be what is happening to me since i am immunocompromised like that.

I guess all i can do is rest and hope that this gets better.

Thanks again,
Joe

I am sorry to hear of your setback. That oftened happened to me after getting sick with a cold or virus. It causes me to relapse bigtime.

That said, I would invest in a product called Epicor. You can purchase it online from Vitamin Research Products or ProHealth.

Take one pill a night (makes me sleepy) forever. It takes 30-90 days to begin its effectiveness, but the longer you take it, the more effective it becomes. It also helps with allergies.

It has quite an interesting story, but more doctors are recommending it to their chronic fatigue/lyme patients. It boosts the effectiveness of your natural killer cells and fights off the cold/flu viruses before you ever get them.

I used to take Sambucol, but found Epicor cheaper for the long haul. I've been taking Epicor for a year.

Just tell yourself, This, too, shall pass.

I got sick in September, and again in November, and the cough just kept hanging on after both rounds. My doctor suggested IV vitamin C.

I started that in November, it actually was Vitamin C, Magnesium, B5, B6, B12 and glutathione. I am doing these once per week.

I did get sick again in December, but now I'm starting to feel I have kicked it completely.

I also started taking Epicor recently (about 2 weeks ago). I am hoping it will help.

I was taking transfer factor and beta glucan, but I don't think it was helping at all.

Take care,
Robin

What are you taking for antibiotics? The timeline and description sounds to me like your cold went into a bad sinus infection.

I think I may have relapsed after a flu shot. Bad one, needed a PICC for 9 mos. Same thing, I don't think my immune system could handle it. Heaviness in limbs, etc. Be really careful what you expose yourself too and definitely load up on immune boosters.

Some people also try a good quality colloidal silver supplement & garlic. I think Allimax is a good (expensive) garlic supplement but it's probably best to crush a clove of garlic & just put it on some toast. It's important to crush it (fresh, raw) & eat it right away for most effectiveness.

Also, drink water or juice with fresh lemon juice in it. It gets your body more alkaline. That may help.

Sometimes it just takes time to get better.
