I've been having some medical problems that no dr. can seem to figure out. I think they are starting to think it is all in my head! I was diagnosed and treated for Lyme in 2001/2002 and really hadn't thought much about it since.

Now I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't be re-tested. What are the chances I could be having symptoms again? There are no LLMDs in the area and my plan is to call the family dr.on Mon. and see if they will draw blood and send to IGeneX. What test should I do? Western Blot and PCR? Also, since I most likely have antibodies for it, what determines if I have a recurring infection or no infection?

I have read so much about what to if you suspect you have Lyme but I can't find much about protocol for re-testing.

Hi. I know you want tests 188 and 189 via Igenex.

The cost is $190.00 (unless prices have gone up).

I am not sure about re-testing, but you can "prime"

Your immune system to possibly show the highest number of positive bands

By taking antibiotics for 30 days, wait 10 days and then have blood drawn

And sent to Igenex. It is actually something they recommend.

I would not be suprised if Lyme has reared it's ugly head again.

Hope you can eventually get to a LLMD.

Hugs,

Geneal
