I have chronic Late stage lyme and I haven't started treatments yet, they will start in February, but I have been reading the boards.

Some people are saying they experienced chest pains and heart palpatations when they went through herxing.

I have already had a heart attack at the age of 38 in november 2006.

Will herxing increase my chances of having another heart attack?

My cardioligist does not believe that Lyme Disease is a factor with my heart attack.

39 yrs old
138 lbs
no diabities
no family history of heart disease.

Wow. I think you need to talk to your doctors. Make sure whomever is treating you for Lyme knows about your heart. My heart stopped in my doctor's office when I was herxing. I was getting a trigger-point injection for muscle pain and the doctor either shot the xylocaine directly into a vein or I had an allergic reaction. I mention this because when I went to my Lyme specialist he said Lyme could have played a part and he ordered some enzyme tests to be sure. It wasn't the Lyme, but it apparently can be, at least according to one of the foremost Lyme literate doctors in the country.

My LLMD knows about the heart problems, when he did the blood test he found something else in my blood.

He said I have little blood clots in my blood and wants more blood test run to check my Homocysteine levels.

My cardioligist didn't even find this.

I was just wondering if herxing could bring on another heart attack? Any ideas?
