I've been trying to get off Lyrica and Amitriptylene since, well, yesterday.
In the past I've been able to stop taking them no problem, but this time, maybe because I have been taking them much more consistently, I am expereincing some icky withdrawal.
I'm looking for anyone's experience with bad withdrawals from either of these meds, and also seeing if I can figure out which one is causing this yucky withdrawal.
Thanks,
Alison

It is not recommended to stop cold turkey with anti-depressants. It can cause all sorts of symptoms.
I also, would not recommend weaning two meds at once. Very difficult on your body.
At the minimum, you want to wean off over a two week period with any AD.
But consulting your physician for a safe way to do this, would be the thing to do.

I was told not to stop cold turkey as well. When I stopped pain meds, Elavil, and Topomax I cut the dose in half for a few days, then in half again for a few days, etc until I was off all of them.
I had been on all of them for years and going down slowly was no problem.
