We were told to take the IV med twice a day, every 12 hours.
We were told it is OK to take it within 1 hour of the 12 hour schedule.
So I interpreted that to mean no more often than 11 hours since last dose and not longer than every 13 hours since last dose. We gradually moved the time this way.
Different drugs have different half lifes. Some drugs may be more important to be precise with timing. Just my opinion!

Thanks for the replies. Was just wondering about timing. I am on my second week of IV Rocephin(sp?), but have to go to an IV clinic to have it. It's hard to go at the same time everyday, so I wanted to know how important the timing is.
