I'm working on an article about a connection between Lyme and Macular Degeneration.

I have run into much hostility from doctors who say there is no such connection. Some doctors privately admit they believe there is, but refuse to be quoted for the article. Ah, the Lyme Wars!

If you have Lyme and any stage of macular degeneration, please PM me if you would be willing to share a short statement about your personal experience and whether or not you think there is a connection, or if your doctor told you there might be.

I have a personal interest in this, as I was just diagnosed with the early stages of AMD, I am only 30 years old and have no other risk factors. My doctor said my case "HAD to be Lyme-related", but doesn't want to go "on the record" with that.
