My queston is has anyone improved over the long term with this?
I have been making slow yet steady progress with abx's and I feel I'm doing quite well overall.
I have declined the ivig for another few months to see how far my abx's take me.
Has anyone had any negative effects from it?
I have been told by my doc that I'm approved for it each month for the rest of my life.
Is it worth it?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think IVIG could be the golden ticket. I've been researching it quite a bit the past few weeks and there seem to be very few side effects. (Just make sure you don't get the IVIG with sucrose - there were some incidents with renal crisis with that mix - there are several brands to choose from) Combined with antibiotics it might be just the right thing to get you well. Why are you hesitating? Have you discussed with your LLMD?
We are trying to get IVIG for my husband for his Lyme induced dermatomyositis. He starts IV Rocephin next week and I'm hoping that he'll be able to start the IVIG in the next couple of months (all depending on insurance). If it weren't for the cost he'd be on it right now.
