Has anyone had problems with their eyes and it has been connected to lyme disease??? My husband was checked for eye problems only to find out that he had to have laser surgery on 3 places on his retina. He is 60 yrs. old. This happened suddenly. No prior problems. At the same time the doctors said that he could see the beginnings of cataracts. During my husband's last visit the doctor said the pressure in his other eye was showing 21 that he will have to keep an eye on concerning glaucoma. This just seems so bizarre to believe. He has been tired a lot and our son has had EBV, mycoplasma, and possible lyme symptoms. Our daughter had a seizure this summer and has had fatigue. Not surprised that in time other problems pop up. Anyone else have these problems???

BJ, if you go over to lymeneteurope.org you'll find a post with rheams of ocular complications listed that are known to relate to LD. To my knowledge none of the three problems you relate are likely related to LD. At your husband's age, cataracts are common. The retinal findings are curious, and thankfully treatable. He seems to only have high pressures and not glaucoma so lets let that one be for now.
Follow through with the treatment for the retinal issues and monitor the other two issues. They are unlikely related to LD.
