Hi all,
I'm on ceftriaxone week 2th. (4 days IV, 3 days off)
12 hours after my last dose, the symptom Lyme come back, it's not a die-off. It's not a same thing.
I don't understand..... it's so quickly!
Can I give the power to the bacteria after several years of abx?
It's always very active
Someone had a similar experience?

YES, that will ALMOST ALWAYS HAPPEN unless you are transitioned to ORAL ANTIBIOTICS afterward and then kept on until symptom-free for 2-3 months. It is almost guaranteed to happen otherwise in my experience. Sounds like you have a doctor inexperienced at treating Lyme or one who adheres to the guidelines of the IDSA.
Sorry to read your experience. I did IV Rocephin and have sustained all gains for 8+ years now because I transitioned to orals. You need to get a good LLMD, Lyme doc, who will not take you off abx until you are well. Go to the Seeking Doctors column of this board and post to find one. I am sorry you've had this experience.
Sincerely,
Sarah
