I would think that low calcium level could contribute to headaches. Calcium binds to toxins (which is why it shouldn't be taking with certain medications such as doxy). So if low calcium = more toxins, taking calcium supplement could maybe help with headaches.
Of course another concern with low calcium levels is osteoperosis.

I get excruciating head pain if I take coral calcium or eat foods high in calcium.
