One of the first things he said was "I don't think you're crazy." I had to wonder if one of you all called him.

I started the doxy yesterday morning and lasdt night was horrible.

He did gve me some long acting morphine for pain but this is unbearable.

It's just getting worse.
Is this herxing?

I couldn't sleep even with takiing meds for sleeping and the pain meds. Toda is worse and I don'tknow what to do.

Poor you. I think it important to remember that this will pass and as crazy as it sounds this kind of reaction means you are indeed infected and the abx are working.

During the holidays my husband was in such back/hip pain that he was out of his mind, moaning and laying all over the house during the night..........the pain was very severe and he has a high pain tolerance. It took a while but it did pass.

It sounds like you have a good doc who understands that you are in pain and will treat it, of course, you should talk to the doc!

Wish you luck.

do you have a SPA where jets can go over the parts really hurting?

HOT WATER EXERCISING unless you are like me and allergic to chlorine in pool.

MOISTENED heating pads on areas hurting or a combo of it and FROZEN ICE PACKS to areas hurting.

these are my lifesavers! good luck.

i was on 20 months of doxy/biaxin pulsed; 3 days on one; 2 days off; then start 2nd abx for 3 days; 2 days off; then begin doxy again.

from day 1, my right arm felt like a punching bag and did entire 20 months! [group hug] [kiss]

Okay...I am in more of a right mind this morning.

My hubby called Dr C and caught him at the grocery store :-) H

e called in some prednisone for me and I did not take the doxy last night ether.

I could sleep thankfully. What a wonderful doc.

That was the most excuriating pain I have ever endured.

I had only taken 3 doses of doxy!

My hubby was massaging my legs, I had heat on them but it felt like it was deep down in the sockets of my hips and cotinued down all the way to my shin bone eventually.

I was literally writhing in pain. It was terrible.

Doc C also is treating for Bart.

I am to start the rifampin on Monday.

When we go back, we'll be testing for the hypercoagulation as well.

He is also upping my thyroid meds considerably too...said my dose is way too low.

From everything I'd read here and other places, I was expecting a herx but WOW, that was way worse than I had even considered and so quick!

So next question...should I start back on the doxy or wait?

Blessings,
Kimberly
