yesterday i had to miss my rocephin dose and today my stomach has gone a bit crazy. usually on the rocephin i am struggling with a lot of constipation but today i went to the washroom over 7 times already. what is with that??
well i am definitely not constipated at all. is the constipation a direct side-effect of rocephin? did anyone's doctor explain this to them? or is it that the rocephin kills the good bacteria and that causes the constipation?

i am taking tons of probiotics but still struggle with constipation. i thought maybe it was the diflucan but i am still on the diflucan and the only thing that has changed was i stopped rocephin for one day. it seems the rocephin causes constipation.

anyone have experience with this? i am definitely not having diahrea it is just like 8 bowel movements today. that cannot be normal.

I usually had to stop at McD's on my way home from infusing - Rocephin seemed to make my colon extra active.

I did not experience any side effects from IV ceftriaxone. I did 2g per day, 4 days on, 3 days off for 2 months. I did take a good probiotic, but I did not change my diet in anyway and did not experience any stomach or intestinal issues at all.
