I think I know the answer to my first question and frankly I feel kind of stupid. I have been taking Doxy since the end of November and had been taking the 200mg twice daily with a meal.
The last couple 3 weeks I have switched to taking the Doxy twice a day with a snack with no stomach issues.
Well this morning I took it with just an orange and it made me sick to my stomach. I guess that was a stupid thing to do. Check that one off.
My stomach is finally feeling better now. To continue my rambling I actually thought I was feeling better with the Doxy. I have had less fatigue, muscle twitching was better and less muscle jerking.
But the last couple of weeks symptoms have been getting worse. For a week and a half I was having issues walking because of pain in my left leg. The twitching and muscle jerking has also been getting worse again.
Is it possible that my body absorbs more of the ABX when only taking it with a snack versus a heavy meal like dinner? Could that cause a more severe herx?
This whole deal confuses me. I have only been on ABX since August, but those that are not dealing with what we are just don't understand. How do you start feeling better and then go right back to feeling like crap again.
The whole thing really depresses you doesn't it.
Fortunately I have a wife that up to this point is pretty understanding. However, other people I think believe I am just crazy. So be it.
My rambling is done for the day.
Take care. Roger

I've had my share of urping with doxy in my learning curve. Once I even ate half a meal and thought it was good enough....nope, nope.
No dairy at all. Eat mostly a full meal and then take your doxy. Especially if you are taking 2 pills at a time.

The doxy won't be absorbed at all if you chance urping it out of your system altogether, plus it's a waste of good abx.
As far as getting worse in symptoms, it's usual to get worse before you get better. Run this by your doctor and I hope you feel better soon.
