When is it okay to switch from IV to orals? I am trying to save my gallbladder and wondered when I could switch over without relapsing. Thanks

i haven't done IV so can't offer insight there, but why not consider switching over to IM Bicillin? I have heard a lot of people do this with great success.

This is a good qustion. I was on IV Rocephin for 3 months and then swiched to oral minocycline. At 2.5 months I started relapsing and several of my old symtoms returned. Now I'm taking IM Clarofan shots and doing better. After what happened to me I think someone going off IV should go to IM injections next not orals.
