Well, am going to either my GP or a walk-in clinic tomorrow. I've had problems with my mouth (peeling lips and sores at the sides) for about 2 weeks and finally relized could be yeast.
Duh.....
Am feeling kinda tingly in my hands and wrist area and a few stomach pains to boot.
Must have a bad case of Candida.
Am going to try and go off my meds for one week as advised and hopefully can get a script for something for this.
Do you all usually take Diflucan? I've taken that I think maybe 3-4 times since 2004 but have never had yeast problems like this.
Course haven't been on Cipro/Biaxin/Flagyl but once back in 2005 so maybe that's the reason.
Let me know what you all think.

Yepper Little wolf.. that combo would do it!
Sorry this has happened.
I usually use Nystatin oral rinse.. but others have had pretty good luck with Diflucan too.
May I suggest?
You might consider adjusting the PH in your mouth by mixing about a tablespoon of white vinegar in a pint of water.. and swishing it through your mouth gently... then spitting it out.
I'd try this several times a day for a couple of days to see if you can knock some of it down.
Pau d'arco tea helps also. I mix it with my green tea.
Also... if it is yeast.. there is another area that might need your attention.
As one poster says... check your "happy place".
The vinegar solution I mentioned might help for now... followed by two weeks of Monistat or prescription cream made for that purpose.
That may help even if yeast symptoms down there aren't "visable" or typical. And you should attack the yeast from both ends.. as well as in the middle.
American Health (a brand name) makes a chewable acidophulis that is strawberry flavor and it actually tastes good... and doesn't cost much at all.
You might consider sucking on them to regain better flora in your mouth... and taking a good probiotic.
I hope something here helps!
Lettuce no!
PS.. I am not a doctor.. but I guess that is obvious. After all, what doctor would call it your "happy place"?

Thanks TC,
I'm running right now to the kitchen to see if my Mom has white vinegar.
Yes, I know, most people would but MY mom might have rice vinegar. Would that work too?
Thanks for the quick response and I'll let you all know.
Oh, and thanks for the heads up about checking elsewhere. Seeing how it took me 2 weeks to figure this out I'm glad someone mentioned, erh, other areas.

If a yeast infection is visible, I personally feel that it is probably systemic too. I'm not a doctor, this has just been what I've seen in myself and others over the years.
If you have acidophilus, open the cap and put some in your mouth and let it disolve, don't rinse. Won't make it go away but will help. Do this several times during the day, but also do one right before bed.
Caprylic acid, pau d arco or grapefruit seed extract would be helpful until you can get to a doctor. Please be careful since yeast die off can make one feel pretty sick.
Hope you get this fixed really quick.

I don't know why rice vinegar wouldn't work.

I have had good luck with oregano oil capsules for yeast. If it is in your mouth, chances are you have involvement in the rest of your GI system as well. Load up on the probiotics! Good luck!

When I had that! I used a gargle of peroxide rinse well real well. Then I would take acidophilis capsuls apart and dump contents in mouth and let disolve did this 3 to 4 times a day also took acidophilis and yogurt 3 times a day no sugar in yogurt read back.
This all resulted from the smurf pill ceftin.

Thanks to all of you for the wonderful advice! My LLNP called me in some Diflucan and today my mouth and lips aren't burning like they were.
Also my eyes are not itching and burning and the tingling in my wrists are much better.
My stomach isn't hurting and making that God-awful gurgling noise anymore either.
I take NOW brand acidophilus that has like 8 million of the good bacteria.
I usually take one a day but obviously that's not enough. Also I eat way to many carbs.
Since my magnesium is so low back in the end of 2006 my LLNP put me on a no animal protein diet except for fish, eggs, cheese, etc.
But being sick sometimes I'd eat cheese and crackes for dinner 3-4 times a week.
I'm back at my house so I have white vinegar TC so will try that too. Also am soaking my toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide. Don't know if I should replace it or not.
I'm gonna have to try that Pau D'Arco tea and all the wonderful suggestions here.
I also read last night that Olive Leaf Extract would help. I didn't realize that has antifungal properties too.
Thanks and better health too us all!!
