I'll try to be brief. Our son has had Lyme for five years. His last fever was two years ago. Since then he hasn't caught any of the bugs that the rest of the family has had, but his Lyme symptoms persist.
So, we've had a bad flu floating around the family and community at large. He now has a fever of 101, chills and sore throat.
Could this mean that his immune system is working properly, and that he could just have the regular old flu? Or, is it possible that something more serious is happening?
I respect the thoughts and counsel given here more than at what I'd hear in the doctor's office...of course.
Thank you in advance for any insight.

mom,
be extra careful of fever in hundreds!
with lyme we are always UNDER 98.6; so anything like that and over is a fever AND MAJOR as it goes up.
take him to ER if it keeps getting higher; too risky not too.
sorry, i don't have any kids with lyme!
i've just had it 38 yrs., 34 yrs. misdiagnosed by 40-50 drs.
keep us informed ok! your post got scooted down to bottom of page 1 !! up we go for anyone else on board now and before work crowd!
