Hi,
anyone that has got a herxheimer reaction due to levoflaxacin use?
Getting a bit nervous as Dr. B says on his lecture that he doesn't really see this kind of reaction on patients on levaquin.

Also, does levofloxacin "get" mycoplasma?

My main symtoms are muscle twitching, paresthesias (like bugs movin about in the body, rinning water feeling) fatigue, muscles "bumping" and hurting legs. Everything gets crazy when trying to sleep. Especially the feet have this crawling ****ty feeling.

Have been doing extensive lyme abx, but I think i might have this BLO stuff as well? My LLMD thinks this is "only" lyme.

Or is it "morgellons"? (But those are killed by Flagyl, aren't they?)

Going nuts here!! Esp. as I have to live apart from my family as there are no LLMDs in Sweden I had to go to Germany, fantastic isn't it.....Sweden....so overestimated, people are dying from Lyme in Sweden!

All replies welcome!

(I have tried the B12 and magnesium with no relief)

Hi, I have not taken levofloxacin myself, but
is that the same thing as levaquin?

Sounds like it might be. Other lyme patients have reported having major herx
reactions to leavquin, like muscle fatigue and pain, so that might be why
you are feeling that way. Hope you feel better soon!

Hello. I'm guessing that you are taking german remedies levofloxacin made by acme formulation ltd? If so, that is the same chemical as levaquin used here in the united states. I have gone through the same thing as what you describe. I lasted 3 days on levafloxacin. I have been treating myself with overseas generics and I had all sorts of horrible shooting pains everywhere in my body after taking this levaquin generic. I decided to stop that perticular treatment and hold off until another day. I don't know if it was side effects or organisms dying. It is hard to tell, but yes I have seen these amazing herx type reactions only off of levaquin generic. I still do not know what it was.

I've also had what you describe. The restless leg syndrome and creepy crawly feeling on arms/face and legs when trying to fall asleep. I have also had the feeling of water droplets hitting my hands when in reality there was no rain coming down indoors. Well rest assured that it is not morgellons. I am 16 months into treatment and I remember back when I had those symptoms. I think those perticular symptoms were lyme related if anything. They eventually went away after about 1 year of 400mg doxycycline and 6000mg amoxicillin. I'm still battling other organisms now such as bart but I do remember those early bug type feelings. Especially the restless leg syndrome that made it feel like a large worm was crawling in my one leg every night.

The levaquin severe reactions could be some type of organisms dying off. What is the organism? I don't know for sure. But I have had the same experience. Could be Brucella, Mycoplasma, Bartonella, Bartonella like organism, Tulemaria etc etc.

Hang in there!
