I have been on Ceftin off and on for a couple of months now. For about 6 weeks, I have had one dry, red scaly patch between the size of a quarter and a half dollar on my mid right torso.

To be honest at first I was worried it was a ringworm, but I am not around cats, and nothing has changed in it.

I have used prescription topicals on it (stepson has psoriasis), and I have also used over the counter antifungals.........nothing changes it.

It doesn't bother me, frankly I don't know that it is there. Anyone experience anything like this, or have any suggestions?

I think it would probably be a good idea to get it looked at. There are so many weird lymey symptoms that it s easy to blame everything onBb.

But I think anytime you have a wound or rash that just doesnt heal, you should see a doctor to rule out skin cancer. Just to be safe.

What is interesting is I never remember having the initial rash, BUT I grew up living in the woods, and pulling ticks was quite routine for me. My LLMD suspects that I have had TBI's for years, and that my body was doing its' best to fight it until my last exposure Feb 07.

I, too have dealt with people who have that "but you look fine" attitude, as I am sure so many have. Ultimately, they don't have to believe you, and even if you are fortunate enough to be surrounded by people who do, that in no way means that they have the slightest understanding of what we all go through.

We are all very lucky that we have each other here, because for so many of us, that is all we have.

Sending well wishes your way... [group hug] [kiss]
