I've done a bit of research on how ph levels can contribute to a hospitable environment for Candida. I'm planning to start regularly checking my own ph levels and I'm fairly certain that I will find that they are very low.
One major issue in fighting candida infections seems to be the conundrum of what to eat. The majority of my diet is composed of meat and eggs. Those are two foods which themselves leave acidic ash in the body and are said to lower ph levels. However, if I DON'T eat those foods and eat the foods that are known to raise ph levels then I'll end up providing the candida some of the "fuel" it needs to grow and thrive - not to mention ending up with some nasty itching, brain fog (even more of it) and greater fatigue. What to do? What to do?
How about at-home remedies for raising ph levels? I've read several positive reviews for baking soda in water along with ascorbic acid. Does that work? What's best? I think I'll have a better sense of what to do after I start checking what the actual ph levels in my body are.

The best home remedy is a good diet. You need to have fruits and veggies in your diet to be healthy.
Some things that I do:
Daily Fruit Smoothie: Plain Organic Yogurt Low Fat Berries Med ripe banana Organic "greens" powder specifically for PH health.
We also "juice" Cucumber Swiss Chard Carrots Celery Bok Choy Beets
When I drink my juice my PH strips turn black.
When I cook dinner I have three vegetables and a meat. I only put EVOO on my salad - no vinegar- although apple cider vinager is alkaline forming. Sweet Potatoes are a great food but maybe not if you have yeast.
I tend to eat too many grains. I love my whole grain bread. So I offset with the other.
I dont think the baking soda is a good idea - it may upset the acid balance in your stomach like antacids do.
There are Ph drops that you can add to your purified drinking water to rais the PH up to 10 (Alakvision) OR you can drink EvaMor water - it has a PH level of 9.0 (but it's expensive)
I am a coffee lover so I cold brew it to remove most of the acid and only drink one cup a day.
